The Daily Trust Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Media Trust Group, has donated food items to two orphanages in Kaduna State, Malali Orphanage Home and Jama’iyar Matan Arewa (JMA) Orphanage, in the spirit of Ramadan.
The items donated include rice, beans, semolina, spaghetti, macaroni, vegetable oil, palm oil, soap, seasoning cubes, salt, sugar, noodles, diapers, and milk.
The Programme Officer of Daily Trust Foundation, Immam Shuaib, who handed over the items to the beneficiaries, said the gesture was part of the foundation’s CSR aimed at reaching out to the most vulnerable for them to observe the Ramadan fast in a good way.
Collecting the items, the Office Manager of Malali Orphanage Home, Sa’adu Dabo, and the Assistant Secretary/Coordinator, JMA, Hajiya Rabi Tariq, thanked the foundation for the gesture and promised to make judicious use of the items.
