Daily Trust Foundation is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the Media Trust Group. It was carved out of the administration department of Daily Trust Group, which has, since 2000, provided humanitarian support to many communities in the North.
Over the years, the foundation has supported internally displaced persons in the North, provided boreholes for communities, organized skill acquisition programs for women, donated food items to orphanages, released inmates from correctional centers, provided scholarships for female medical students, organized training programs, conferences, and workshops for journalists and media professionals, among others.
Just recently, the Foundation began a landmark project in the health sector in Yobe State. The intervention is for the rehabilitation and remodeling of the Dikumari Primary Healthcare Clinic in Damaturu, Yobe State. The facility is the only health centre that caters to about 16,000 persons in the community.
